SVIT is affiliated to JNTU, Hyderabad and it is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Recognised by Govt. of Telangana.
The departments have qualified faculty members with strong expertise in the research areas of Artificial intelligence, Natural Language Processing, Cyber Security systems, software engineering, data base systems and data warehousing systems, information systems and computer networking. Industry-institute interaction is a regular phenomenon of Computer Science & Engineering departments.
To seek admission into first year of four-year B.Tech course in any branch, a student must have passed the Intermediate Examination of the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Telangana with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects, or any other examination recognized by the Government of Telangana as its equivalent.
All the eligible candidates for admission into First Year B.Tech shall have to qualify in the TSEAMCET Examination conducted by the Govt. of Telangana. The candidates will be admitted by TSEAMCET Convener strictly in accordance with the rank secured at the Entrance Examination and keeping the rules applicable in view, regarding the reservation of seats of various categories of candidates.
NRI – The institutions that are approved by All India Council for Technical Education and permitted to fill NRI seats not exceeding 15% of the sanctioned intake in each course for the academic year shall admit NRI candidates (sons and daughters of NRIs) who have passed the qualifying examinations with not less than 50% marks in the prescribed group subjects or 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination or cumulative Grade POINT Average (CGPA) equivalent to 5 on a scale of 10.(“Non Resident Indian (NRI) candidate means a candidate born to parent of Indian origin residing outside the country and who has passed the qualifying examination or its equivalent”.)
JEE(Mains) – The remaining seats shall be filled on merit basis with candidates including those from other states and Union territories who were given All Indian rank at JEE(Mains) and secured not less than 45% of marks in the prescribed group subjects in the qualifying examination.
TSEAMCET –
The seats remaining unfilled from the above shall be filled with eligible candidates, who have qualified the TSEAMCET examination on merit basis following eligibility criteria laid in rule (4) of G.O’s.74 & 75, Dated 28.07.2011.
Thereafter, if any seats still remain unfilled such seats may be filled on merit basis with candidates securing not less than 45% (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved categories) of marks in the prescribed group subjects taken together/aggregate marks in the qualifying examinations, as prescribed.
Note: Foreign Nationals are not eligible for admissions.(i) In respect of candidates qualified from other state board of examinations (of Other States), equivalency certificate has to be obtained from BIE of Telangana State.
(ii) Eligible candidate should have obtained 50% (40% marks for reserved categories), group subjects/aggregate in the qualifying examinations.
(i) Eligible candidate should have obtain 45% (40% marks for reserved categories), group subjects/aggregate in the qualifying examinations.
(ii) Candidates qualified in the said examinations are not eligible for admission into Pharmacy Course.
Intermediate Vocational pass outs must pass Mathematics/Biology and Physical Sciences
